The Apunians are derived from Alpha Centauri, one of the brightest stars in the southern sky, located in the constellation Centaurus. The first reports of these human aliens were in the early fifties in the Peruvian Andes. The inhabitants of the Andes, the Quechua people, came in contact with the Alpha Centaurs and named them in honor of the Apunians (Apunians) mountains.
