As the months fly by, restrictions imposed on us by power-hungry politicians become more and more draconian: wear masks; avoid crowds; submit to Covid-19 tests and always social distance.

Periodically, the official narrative pretends to relent by doling out increments of freedom, then rebounds with even more stringent lockdown measures. Daily doses of Covid-19 case numbers and deaths are spotlighted to seize our attention and sustain fear levels.

We who are awake are frequently surrounded by friends and family who defend the official narrative and accuse us of listening to “conspiracy theorists”.

Is the so-called "New Normal" a future we are meant to accept and embrace?
